Gelson Alves is the President of PCE Design and one of Paramount’s top engineering consultants. He focuses mainly on structural design, façade/glazing design and consulting. In this role, he is responsible for reviewing shop drawings, reviewing documents before they’re submitted to various public departments, performing on-site inspections, and more. He is a licensed Professional Engineer who received a degree in civil engineering in Brazil before relocating to the United States.

During his 30+ year career, Gelson has moved fluidly between structural engineering and glazing. His tenure in other firms and as an independent glazing and engineering consultant gave him the chance to work on more than 1,000 projects in New York, Chicago, and China. Today, with Paramount Consulting & Engineering, he is dedicated to providing professional glazing engineering for commercial and residential buildings across South Florida.
